Pancreas

Acute Pancreatitis:
- Biliary Pancreatitis: Treatment Endoscopic biliary sphincterotomy
- Acute Mild-Severe Pancreatitis
- Necrotizing Pancreatitis
- Pancreatic pseudocyst: Endoscopic or surgical drainage
- Pancreatic abscess: endoscopic or surgical drainage.
Chronic pancreatitis:
The causes are alcohol, congenital anomalies such as Pancreas Divisum. There is fibrosis and calcifications in the gland (Pancreas). There are dilations in the pancreatic duct and sometimes in the canal. It can be treated endoscopically or surgery.
Pancreas tumors:
Malignant tumors of the pancreas (adenocarcinoma) are more frequent in the head of the pancreas; they can be seen in the body or tail of the pancreas. The symptoms are abdominal pain (epigastrium), weight loss, decay and sometimes jaundice. Diagnostic imaging, ERCP, etc. The treatment is surgical (Operation Whipple) and depends a lot if it is resectable.
